Eternal Night Travelers

Chapter 1-

PRISONER - SV1

The Starfinders will be running a support mission to assist in the transportation of an unknown entity needing the highest security available. The group will meet at the space dock of one of the major galactic space ports. This port serves as a means for two reasons. To create a place to turn and project your flight to a different gate trajectory. Or as your last stop to Hell.

The station is the only way to and from the planet below. Miles below is a dwarf planet that had been retro fitted into a prison named Stygian. This location is a space for interdimensional prisoners that are deemed too dangerous for the main population, or so deadly that the High Max was not enough to manage them either. This is where you send something or someone that you don’t want to be found… ever.

The entity that the Starfinders will be transporting is known only as prisoner SV-1. Currently this prisoner is being held in constant transit while being moved to the Stygian penal colony. The small transportation that your group has been assigned is not just for prisoner movement but also serves as the only way off the surface for the Prison workers. This trip will take the prisoner SV-1 down to the final point on Stygian.

Accompanying SV-1 will also be 4 other high-class prisoners that will be serving time at the intro level of the penitentiary. These are for high profile criminals who are being given one chance to see that there is in fact a hell that they can through them further into. It is a scare tactic in hopes to illicit a response and straighten them up for more normal sentence and location to serve time. SV-1 will be completely different as that prisoner will be in 15x15 foot Metallic Cube that seems to have No way to open it. This cube has a mirror-esque sheen to it with a very slight reflection if the light hits it right.

The Starfinders will be given a datapad with all of the information for the prisoners. All of the prisoners with the exception of SV-1. The first is a Conman named Lairy. This Borai has changed his name and identity by body hopping. Often this happens without the permission of the last person he leaps into. After his 50th body jump, Lairy and his partner were captured. His partner was killed leaving Lairy to take the full rap. The 2nd is a female Lashunta who is/was the leader of a small group of rebels. These rebels have fought to have the penal colony closed as people who work there keep randomly disappearing. She raised too much of a ruckus everywhere, uniting prisoners at every location. Now, she will have no one to unite. The 3rd is an android that was reprogramed from a soldier to a Minister no longer desiring to kill. It was tried for crimes as his former self. It accepted the terms of its punishment and atonement. It has agreed to serve its time at Stygian in hopes of spreading the word of God to the Godless. The fourth is a mystery. There is no info.

They meet at the terminal on the space port, and are greeted by the Faction Leader of the Wayfinders, Fitch. Fitch storms over toward the group with purpose while taking care of numerous tasks at the same time from others walking around her. She barely noticed the group but looked up to tell everyone collaborating with her to take a hike. She walks up to the group with a datapad and one heavily armed trooper walking in tow.

Starfinders, I need to be brief. This mission could not be of more importance. WE NEED to make sure this prisoner goes onboard and sees no one until you dock. After which you will make sure that square is handed over to the Warden. They will take the prisoner over from there. At no point is anyone (she looks up sternly from her datapad) and I mean NO ONE to touch the prisoner in any capacity. Failure of this mission could very well mean the end of the fabric of space and time as we know it. So, no pressure. You will meet your armed escort who will be there for back up if needed. This is their leader SID, and he will escort you into the transport and get you settle in. Get this done troops, show them what we are made up.

At the end of the briefing, the ysoki storms off, finds her cohorts, and begins the cycle of work again. The Starfinders see her walking off and they are guided by SID to the landing bay where the prisoner will be loaded. If any player wants more information, have the party roll Sense Motive or Perception (DETERMINE later) Any Wayfinder faction members who succeed will notice that Fitch seemed a bit off. If more than 3 players succeed at sense motive or perception, they can also be advised that: you could tell that she was definitely hiding something in her speech and mannerisms. With a successful role that suspicion will linger but this will not be enough to waiver the team at this point. The GM should still be evasive on giving any more info on the mission or the Ysoki.

As the giant silver square comes into view through the corridor, the whole energy of the room changes. The prisoner begins to delicately be transported into the room by mystics and technomancers surrounding the large cube with corporeal energy beams. Holding this floating liquid metal prison in place 4ft above ground and guiding it slowly to the center of the loading bay. The back of the ship opens with the whir of pistons, and the guards who are armored just like SID pour out in a loading formation. It was like clockwork until “REBELS!! RISE!!” was heard, right before the thunderous head shattering BOOM!!
